Once the Lord delivered the children of Israel from the Egyptians and they crossed the Red Sea, they stayed around Mount Seir. We read in Deuteronomy 2:3 (CEB) what the Lord told them. “You’ve been traveling around this mountain long enough. Head north.”
Have you ever been in a place or season, that you knew wasn’t your final destination but because of the comfort you started to settle there? The place of your greatest test is to leave what’s familiar. God’s intention is for you to arrive at the place He has destined for you to be.
The devil is not always pushing or driving you, sometimes he’s comforting you out of the will of God. If he can, the enemy will try to convince you to make a permanent home in a temporary place. If where you are is not what God promised you, then it’s time to reach for more.
When you go out of town on vacation, you only carry enough clothes for that trip, you don’t bring everything you own. Why? You pack with the understanding that this is temporary. The seasons are beginning to change and we need to be in our destined place. You should never be willing to give up until you arrive at the perfect will of God for your life.
